Yes, Kdenlive directly supports Blackmagic DeckLink SDI / Intensity
HDMI for capture and uses MLT's support for playout. MLT also supports
Linear Systems SDI for playout although that is not exposed in
Kdenlive. I have just started a project that will add to MLT keying
support for DeckLink playout (hardware composites MLT's RGBA output
over a SDI input) as well as capture.
