[Kdenlive-devel] Solved: AVCHD camcorder support

Hi *,

attached is a patch for FFmpeg revision 17028 to support AVCHD 
camcorders properly. At least 1080i and 1080p movies from Panasonic and 
Sony camcorders work with kdenlive out-of-the box with the patch.

The patch (chopped into better digestable chunks) has been posted to 
FFmpeg mailing list, but not yet reviewed/accepted. I'll inform you, 
when there is something new on that front.

BTW, seeking in AVCHD is slow, since MLT framework has a bug as well, 
which repositions the stream one second too early, so it has to decode 
whole second worth of video before starting playback at new location. 
I'll look at it later.
