[Kdenlive-devel] Kdenlive release plans

Hello everyone.

I am finally getting close to the release of Kdenlive 0.7. This will be a beta 
release, some things are not fully working but I think it should be stable 
enough for some basic work.

What I want to fix before the release:
* Fix actions when several clips are selected in timeline (move, etc)
* Fix loading of transitions (currently wipe transitions are converted to 
composite)

What will (probably) not be fixed before the release:
* Most transitions don't work on title clips and transparent images (only luma 
works)
* No feedback when rendering (this relies on kuiserver, a KDE core component 
that will only be ready in KDE 4.2) - but as a workaround you can start 
kuiserver manually before doing a render job and it will show the info.
* Cannot add / remove tracks in timeline
* No zone selection in monitors
* Cannot import text clips from older kdenlive versions
* and many other things I don't remember.

If you think there is another major bug that should be fixed before this 
release, we can discuss it here...

Jean-Michel Pouré is working to redesign the website, so I hope we can launch 
the new website and Kdenlive 0.7 at the same time. If there is no major 
problem, I hope to do the release around the 5th of october.
