While at it: are .kino SMIL files going to be supported?
With 0.5, I had no luck with any of these (started to write
a convertor script but didn't find the time to finish it, 
partially due to enough variables with unclear semantics
in way more complex kdenlive project files).

Of course it's just a wish of user who does understand that
the approach of these two applications is very different...
