I'll give it a try, although it seems to mean that I cannot use the
Gentoo mlt/mlt++ packages any more (which are working fine up to
kdenlive-svn-1825).

Recently, I reported a bug in the user forums, since I was not sure if
it's a bug or a feature :-)
