Yes, there are 2 big things I still would like to add:

* Sticky transitions

(that would also be a first step to introduce more intelligent crossfades)

* Keyframe editor

(not sure I can finish that one in time).

And there are 2 things that need redesign:

* Render dialog redesign

(I would like to have a discussion with everyone about that, maybe start a 
forum topic, and yes moackups would be great).

* Shortcuts:
There are many bug reports about missing or bad shortcuts. It would be great 
if someone could gather them and create a list with the required changes so 
that we can agree on something.

If we want to release before end of year, I think we need a string freeze in 
something like 5-6 days, leaving about a week for translators to finish...

Does that seem ok to you ?
