[Kdenlive-devel] Build error...........though im sure its just me

I get the following error several times.....i can fix it by 
adding '->local8Bit()' to get char*'s from the qstrings.

is something wrong with my setup because im sure no one else can have this 
problem, and ive had it for ages.
