[Kdenlive-devel] Cannot export!?

I seem to be having trouble exporting; I thought it was the older version
but I am using Trevino's Kubuntu repositories and its the 0.5 release.

When I export, I get all of one second or so worth of 'Rendering' in the
lower corner, and then it is done.  The output files are never created.  I
get no feedback if I launch it from a console.  Nothing crashes, but it just
doesn't render.  Does anyone have suggestions?
