I suggest that you open a thread here:

This looks like an SDL bug.

Maybe you could provide a more detailed trace as explained here:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Kdenlive/Troubleshooting#Publishing_a_gdb_trace

When installing from RPM, executables are usually 'stripped', which
means that they do not include debugging symbols. You may find
interesting to install Kdenlive from sources (SVN) and try to reproduce
the bug.
