Hi people.  Attached is a patch that fixes the  slotFileOpen() in KdenliveApp. 
 If the project file doesn"t exist, it should not do the other methods, like 
 setCaption(). Also, I commented document->clipManager().insertClip(url) in 
 ProjectFormatManager, that is just executed when the clip is not found. 
 (isn"t it wrong?). Also fixes two methods that are deprecated.
