This is my opinion too, therefore I suggested having a transition tool. This 
was intended just to avoid dragging  a transition item from somewhere to 
somewhere else.

Yes, I think we are talking about pretty much the same thing.
But your auto-transition idea is a very good enhancement and much easier and 
faster as my suggestion, because everything is done automatically! :-)
