Hi, 

maybe you want to display the recording date of the current frame somewhere, 
or the timecode (the position on the tape). I will add some description of 
these values in the <cpabilities> section of the video format when it's 
available. For now, as long as we have DV only, you can either use it or 
ignore it. I was just playing with infos I can get from DV and thought, if I 
have it, I can as well pass it on ....
