Compiles fine for me.

I am now hitting a bug, which I believe is kdenlive's fault though - if you 
open piave in a console, it remains open. If you let kdenlive open piave, it 
closes (?) the connection. But unlike before, piave does not terminate, so 
kdenlive never bothers to try again.

I do not yet know why kdenlive is closing the connection at all - I am going 
to look into it.

On the plus side, I have now implemented the "delete" key. I know that  you've 
been waiting for it for some time ;-)
