As I said this is with a fresh $KDEHOME, so all settings are the default: Oxygen widget style, Oxygen color theme. All KDE/trunk applications are affected. Qt is 4.4.0 from qt-copy r812497.

Good idea about trying other widget styles: indeed, only the Oxygen widget style has that problem. With any other widget style I tried, the problem doesn't exist.
