Urgent Bug Report: Uncontrolled Max-Volume Audio Loop on Clipboard Sync (Android / macOS)

Dear KDE Connect Development Team,


I am writing to report a severe usability and accessibility bug in the
latest interaction between macOS (Sequoia) and Android (Fairphone 5 /
Android 13/14).


When transferring short texts via the clipboard sync feature from macOS to
the Android device, KDE Connect triggers a continuous, extremely loud
notification sound on the phone.


This audio loop exhibits critical malfunctions:

1. It plays at absolute maximum physical volume.

2. It completely ignores standard Android volume controls (swiping down the
main audio slider has zero effect on the volume level).

3. The sound cannot be dismissed, paused, or stopped through any on-screen
notification interface.

4. The only way to stop the intense audio playback is to force-kill the
application or shut down the phone entirely.


For users with sensory processing sensitivities or high auditory processing
vulnerabilities, this uncontrolled, high-volume audio behavior creates an
incredibly distressing and painful environment. It acts as an auditory
assault that makes the application completely unusable.


Could you please verify if a recent update accidentally re-routed clipboard
notification alerts to a high-priority alarm stream that bypasses systemic
volume constraints? Please provide a fix that ensures all clipboard
notifications strictly respect the system notification volume and can be
immediately dismissed by the user.
