This email is in regard to KDE Connect for iOS 0.4.1 (1).

I am using KDE Connect 24.05.2 on my Linux desktop. I am running:

Operating System: Kubuntu 24.10
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2
Kernel Version: 6.11.0-13-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Memory: 60.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M
Manufacturer: Framework
Product Name: Laptop 16 (AMD Ryzen 7040 Series)
System Version: AG

I am also running KDE Connect for iOS 0.4.1 (1) on my iPhone 12.

I would like to use the desktop function "Ring my phone" whenever I need to find my iPhone after forgetting where I put it in my apartment, without the iPhone app running in the foreground on the iPhone. The reason I think it may be possible to run it in the background is that I also use an iPhone app called Aida Reminder 7.8. I got it through the
App Store. It is a really good "reminder" program that plays various sounds to remind me of things, but it works even when it is not running in the foreground. It runs entirely in the background. I'm unsure whether it's open source, but there is an email address:
