  You will want to start by looking at the SMS plugin both on the C++ side <https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/tree/master/plugins/sms> and the Android side <https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-android/-/tree/master/src/org/kde/kdeconnect/Plugins/SMSPlugin>. The "onPacketReceived" and "onCreate" methods in both are probably the most interesting places to start tracking through how the plugins work
