Can reply to texts using kdeconnect-sms but can't start a thread

In a nutshell:

kdeconnect-cli --send-sms "<your message>" --destination <mobile number>
--device <mobile device ID>

You can use
kdeconnect-cli -l
to get the mobile device id.

It works just fine, with the only issue that the text does not appear on
your device as having been sent (at least not with Signal as the default
sms app).
