Question about interface usage

Hi,
I installed kdeconnect on my laptop and android device and things were working
great once I dug the wholes into the firewalls.
Now having my laptop hooked up to a LAN and a WiFi network at the same time, I
don't get a connection established between phone and laptop. Wireshark shows
that UDP packets are coming in from the mobile to the WiFi interface.
Likewise, I see packets sent from the laptop to going out on the LAN
interface. This obviously cannot work :(
My question now: is there some capability on the laptop side to force
kdeconnect to use a specifc interface to listen for other devices and
announcing it's availability? Any answer is very much appreciated.
