compiling core seperatly

Hey guys,

I am trying to make an interface that integrates very well into 
elementary os as a programming exercise, however I would love to be 
able to compile the KDEconnect core seperatly to not have all the KDE 
dependencies. Is there a way to compile the core seperatly?
