SMS Reply on desktop not working

I get the notification of the message but no reply button just a dismiss 
'cross' button. I have 1.4.4 from F-Droid on my phone and the 1.0.1-1 
arch package on my laptop. In the settings on the desktop the telephony 
plugin still says '(answering coming soon)' though.
