Fwd: Idea for GSoC 2015, adding new functions to KDEConnect

Hi,

I'm Tihamér Petrovics and I'd like to suggest an idea for GSoC 2015.

I always felt the lack of android phone support in Linux.
Considering that android is based on Linux, it would be nice to have a
notifier application on Linux.

So I decided to write a program in Python to get battery information,
missed call and notify me, if there is any or the battery is fully charged.
Currently it parses ADB information realtime, but I'd like to write an
Android app for sending this information messages to the computer, so we
can get more information from the phone in a right way.
At this moment it can display battery state, notify about battery level and
missed calls (make a new icon and notify using OSD).

Then I found KDEConnect, so I think it would be easier to join this project.
I think it would be a very nice project to enhance KDEConnect functionality
with reading/sending SMS, browse in call history or even receiving phone
call on your own computer.

Some thoughts about me:
I've been learning at Óbuda University in Budapest since 2012.
I'm familiar with C based languages, Python and with java a little bit (I
started to learn Android last summer and took a look at a few sample
projects).
I provided the Hungarian translation of pigeonplanner
<https://launchpad.net/pigeonplanner> and I thought GSoC is a very good
opportunity to get involved in open source development, so I applied, got
accepted in 2013 with project name "syslog-ng, redis-destination" and
finished it succesfully.

I hope you like my idea and will accept it.
Finally I attached a few pictures about the program as a demo:
