Build KDE Connect

Hello, I want to modify KDEConnect and although i modify main.qml in root
-> app -> qml after make , and make install when i run kdeconnect from the
launcher no changes are shown. Is the kdeconnect from the launcher
different from the one in make install ?

Can i run kdeconnect without installing it ?
