FWIW, if you want a browser that is always up-to-date and supports all the latest standards, install one of the big names (Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera or Vivaldi). Or better yet, whatever they call their developer edition.

That said:
- Falkon should work with QWE 5.13 if/when you upgrade your Qt installation
- Qt 5.12 is a so-called LTS release which should get all the necessary security updates just like 5.13
- QtWebEngine does not (and cannot) follow the actual engine as closely as an actual Chrome browser would
