Color configuration issue on Plasma

I've looked there but found nothing of obvious or even obscure use.

Looking closely I notice now that a lot of changes I make do not seem to be taking. I'm beginning to wonder if there is some sort of permissions issue or something. For instance, cursor theme does not survive a reboot. Titlebar (and possibly other) fon changes do not register when applied or any other time.

I'm wondering if thereis a onfig file that can be edited by brute force in a text editor. Or whose permissions can be changed to that the configuration program will write to it.

I suppose that that's possible. My mild disaste for Canonical grew to a kind of contempt when I saw that by default it installs an Amazon thing on the desktop. I'm writing this from a Debian machine, but Debian has its own issues that make it seem kind of obstinate sometimes.

After all these years, I just want something that works.<g>
