How to set the screen resolution and gamma value?

This looks like there were some changes in your system base setup, i.e. not
related to the KDE update itself.
As we can see here the Xserver reports that it can only do one resolution, so
any KDE tool can not offer anything else.

This again looks like some change unrelated to the KDE update is at fault but
more likely something related to the Xserver (or display driver, etc).
