Please add your emerge --info kdelibs there as well, plus the mail app you 
have configured and whether removing the %u in kmailservice.protocol 
helped or not (don't forget to run kbuildsycoca4 after the edit, before 
testing).

Also, I forgot to post the error messages you and I got, to the bug.  You 
might want to add them as well.  Or I probably will, later.

Others reading, particularly those not on Gentoo who are on a kde 4.5, 
please test and post your results as well. (4.5.0 or later, I'm not sure 
it's pinned to 4.5.2 just yet.  Nikos, did it work in 4.5.1 or do you know 
for sure?)  That way we can see if it's Gentoo-specific and whether it's 
4.5.2 only, or if earlier 4.5s are also affected.
