plasma-desktop memory usage

Hello,

I'm having a problem with plasma-destktop memory usage. After starting the
session, it reports 645 MB, and after a while it reaches 1 GB.

This on opensuse 11.2 64 bits, kde 4.3.5 (the default)

Is this to be expected?
