Have KDE send URL to default browser, not tmp file

I saw something similar opening an image link in a new tab prior to KDE 
4.5.3. Now the location shows the originating URL, but the image displayed 
is still from the cache - they're time-stamped images so I can see how old 
they are. When I open the same image in a frame I always get the latest. 
Even after loading the latest image in a frame, the image in the new tab is 
still the old one from cache, despite the URL shown in the location bar.
