the panel dictionary and the fancy tasks

If you open the Add Widgets dialog (from the cashew), scroll to the widget you want to kill and click on the "-" on the right side.

I cannot remove the panel dictionary and the fancy tasks widgets from the 
panel. The command 'Remove' simply does not execute. 
Any ideas? 

About the 'panel dictionary' widget, it seems unusable: entering word in 
the text area does nothing. 

By the way, i cannot find any info about the release version of those 
widgets, in their 'settings' panel.
