Screen locking after suspend

Hi!

I'm using KDE 4.2.1 from Debian Experimental.

After a syspend / resume cycle (initiated via the kickoff menu or if the 
system runs out of battery power), the screen is never locked, which 
makes suspending extremely dangerous and thus unusuable for me.

The "lock screen" setting in the powerdevil KCM module is checked.

What am I missing?
