Just tried kwin. Good stuff. Going to keep it.

Much better integration with the system than compiz (fusion-icon).
The configuration is far ore elegant.

Only effect I could not find (from the ones I care about) was the click 
and drag maximized window title bar.
On compiz that would "peal" the window.

There's probably a similar effect.
Anyone knows which?
