My I have do some test, and I have use tmpfs, and no swap. The command
ls work perfectly, and konqueror after F5 too is slow but only with big
folder, no problem for my with little folder. I boot over nfs, the
server have 16GB of ddr2 and raid system, and my pc have 8GB of ddr2
with phenom 2 @ 3GHz (but it's slow).
