ssh:// instead of fish://

I have seen it mentioned in several places that the fish protocol
should only be used where ssh is not possible. However, when I try to
open ssh:// addresses in Konqhin in KDE 4.3 beta 2, a Konsole window
pops up and I only have a text interface. How can ssh:// be used with
the graphical interface in Konqueror or Dolphin? I cannot use FTP on
some hosts, so fish:// is a big help to me.
