4.2 rc: "session manager" problems

Hello,

I have two problems with the "session manager" of "4.2 RC1":

1. Though I have selected "shutdown" as default logout option, it
always goes into "logout". If I choose "shutdown" on the menu, it also
performs a "logout". Any hints to solve it?

2. The session manager is also not saving my current session, though I
actually selected "restore previous session" in Advanced->Session
Manager. Again anyone knows where I should try to fiddle?

FWIW my ksmserverrc contains (among other things):

excludeApps=
loginMode=restorePreviousLogout
offerShutdown=true
screenCount=1
shutdownType=2
