interface config on kmail 1.11 (kde4.2)

The new interface on kmail is nice, but is there anyway to have the message 
list panel list the message, date and sender in the header columns rather than 
organized by thread with the other info associated with the subject?

In the new view, all messages take up 2 lines in the old view, only 1.

Also, what about displaying the number of total and read messages in the 
folder panel?
