Run Command Dialog Locks Up

I'm using kubuntu 8.04. As with 7.04, the "Run Command" Dialogue
frequently locks up.  

1)Any remedy for this?
2)What is the name of the binary? Can't figure it out. If I knew the
name of the binary, then I could at least kill it.
