The plugin is loaded and running (can be confirmed by right mouse button
click, since it brings up the Flashplayer context menu).
My guess is that the site is using JavaScript to control the applet through
the so-calles LiveConnect extension which should be implemented in
Konqueror .
Assuming that there is not much difference in the 3.5.8 version of Konqueror
and the just about to be release 3.5.9, you could report this as a bug, I
think the appropriate component would be KHTML.
The problem with JavaScript is though that the site might be doing
something "clever" like checking the browser identity.
