Kate - opening unwritable files in read-only mode.

I'm referring to the menu entry "tools->read only mode". When this is
on you can't modify the *displayed* text. 

When I open a file that I can't write to, it's usually because
I'm just viewing the file, or occasionally because I'm editing the
wrong copy of the file. In either case it's irritating that Kate lets
me change the memory copy. 

Given that Kate has "tools->read only mode", it would be nice if it
could pick-up the initial state of this from the file permissions.
