Associaton configuration in Konqueror

Check the owner ship and permissions on each directory in the 
hierary .kde/share/mimelnk/audio

Every directory should be owned by your user and be "rwx" for at least the 
user.

You can also check if there is a file
.kde/share/mimelnk/audio/x-mp3.desktop
and if there is that its owner is also your user and it is at least "rw" for 
the owner.
