Konqueror tabs questions

Hello --

I have created a link to a folder on my desktop. How to make it happen that 
when I click the link to open the folder it would open it in a new tab of an 
existing konqueror window (instead of opening a new konqueror window)? I have 
it working on one box but not the other.
