Deactivate or hide mouse pointer

Goodmorning friends ...

For a special application running in kde3.2.1 under SuSE9 i need a possibility 
to deactivate the mouse completely (also to pointer should be away) or the 
hide the pointer. Because always having the mouse pointer in the middle of 
the application looks not very nice :(

An idea was to give the mouse a blank picture for the pointer, but I'm not so 
close to kde to do that.

I hope anyone is able to help me.
