KLauncher could not be reached via DCOP

Suddenly, whenever I click on *any* program launcher icon of my control
panel, I get
the error message

   KLauncher could not be reached via DCOP

I alredy tried to run kdeinit, but no effect. 

Maybe some processes are missing? What should I look at?
