kontact/kmail archiving messages

I usually create a new folder, using mbox as the format.
Then I copy or move all the messages I want to archive into that folder.
There will be a single file named after the folder, which can be moved out of 
the mail directory and later again in. KMail/Kontact must not be running 
while moving the file!
