Kafiene playing mp3's in Konq

I'm using a straight suse 10 distro, kde 3.4.2-B
glibc is version 2.3.5-40. and does provide libpthread. (yast)
org-x11 is version 6.8.2-100.2
These are all 586 versions. I haven't had konq crash or miss behave on 
anything that doesn't involve kaffeine. (apart from the ebay problem)
