FTP+SSL/TLS ?

Hi all,



has anybody succeeded in setting up ftp+ssl/tls protocol in KDE (so it can work with programs like Quanta or Konqueror without changes)? I found a library for Debian called qca-tls:

Can it be used in KDE 3.5.1/Fedora? How (is it enough to get the source and recompile)? How do I register a new protocol in KDE ? (I just switched the desktop UI ;-0)
