Autostart not running

I have a script in my home directory under /home/user/.kde/Autostart and it
will not run.  I also have a link to it on my desktop, that I double click
and it runs fine.

The permissions are 775 and grp and owner are both the user the file is
xxxx.sh

At one point I do recall turning of a feature so that CD/DVD were not auto
loaded, my only guess is that is why it will not run?  Is this the case?
