Where and what do I need to configure so that apps like konqueror and kmail use 002 umask settings?

Yup did that too. No joy.

BTW. I don't know why but now when I boot my computer and open a shell
(konsole), the umask is set to 022

:-(

But the umask is 002 when I create folders from konqueror.
But when I create a file it sets it as 022.

:-(
