suse 10 import Mail from suse 9.3

Hi ,
I have some trouble importing my mail from suse 9.3
I installed SUSE 10 and now i can't import my mail.
On suse 9.3 the mail dir was ~/Mail
Now the mail dir is ./kde/share/apps/kmail....
I copied the files from the old Mail dir but .. no effect . I can't see the 
messages. The KDE version is kde 3.4.2 , and on suse 9.3 was 3.4.2.
The file attributes are ok (user.group , readable etc..)
I have done this before without problems .

Any ideas ?
