KDE and Red Hat

I have the KDE RH Enterprise 3.0 U3 networked running NIS
And each mooring I have to login twice. The first login 
everthing will go away and mouse arrow continues to be displayed.
Then in ~ 1min the KDE login screen will come back and when
I login the second time everthing is ok. On KDE RH Enterprise 3.0 
U0 this is not a problem. Any ideas? Thanks 
PS problem does not occur under gnome nor failsafe mode
